From the 1960's his hobby was
drag racing and from that Mert Littlefield has built one of the
foremost supercharger manufacturing companies in the industry,
founding Littlefield Superchargers in 1974. Now, 33 years later,
the business has taken another step towards better serving their
customers with the introduction of Littlefield Blowers.com
Littlefield Superchargers were
there when a fuel Funny Car first smashed the 300 mile-per-hour
barrier for the very first time, and also provided the power
that propelled a fuel flopper into the four-second
zone for the first time. In addition, Littlefield has long been
the supercharger supplier for many past and present NHRA and
IHRA champions.
Merts racing roots are
deep, ranging from his days as a fuel Funny Car driver/owner
to his current accomplishments behind the wheel of his NHRA National
Event winning Top Alcohol Funny Car.
Mert uses his own equipment for
research and development of new products, so he directly understands
the wants and needs of customers, and applies those requirements
into current products. It is a never-ending process of research
and information gathering.

The latest in a long line of Mert's funny cars.
Littlefield has brought a lot
of ground breaking technology into the sport. He was one of the
first to develop the 14-71 blower, and then went on to develop
the 14-71 hi-helix supercharger. The hi-helix supercharger had
a higher rate of rotor twist than other blowers, which meant
that the unit could operate more efficiently at a higher rpm.
Since older style superchargers became very inefficient beyond
8200 rpm, the hi-helix design surpassed that easily.
Mert has taken Littlefield Blowers
into other markets than drag racing as well. Today the company
is well diversified into tractor pulling, drag boats, offshore
boats, monster trucks, street rods and just about everything
else loud, fast and powerful.
Littlefield Blowers carries an
extensive line of products besides superchargers. They produce
their own line of manifolds, pulleys and related drive components
on their in-house CNC equipment. They are also distributors for
Gates Belts, Enderle, PFM, and RCD, among many others, which
insures one stop shopping convenience. Their experienced staff
can help you whether you're a local street rodder, sportsman
or professional racer or even an international customer.
Every customer is important to
Littlefield Blowers, and they pride themselves on service and
satisfaction. Because every application of their product is unique
and different they highly recommend calling and talking directly
to a representative so they can put together your perfect application.

Brad, Mert and Lee Littlefield win NHRA Northwest
Nationals.
